Sundaze 1415

Hello, bleep bleep           bleep bleep it's the black box and it's almost dead, and now like a Hollywood script it looks as if it's been located at the last possible moment...we'll see. The thing is it seems to lie beneath 5,000 meters of water, or an extremely inaccessible place, this may have been intended. And yet after a month we the public have no clue as to why this airplane went down, a crazy pilot is possible, but there is another possibility, one that I thusfar haven't seen mentioned, that this was a trial run, an external takeover of an airplane where the pilots got shut out, all communications cut, they were as powerless as their passengers. Who could do such a thing ? Well it's unlikely the Chinese would send their own people into a watery grave, but it is known the US has been working on this kind of remote control and thus Israel has it too... I am willing to bet they know much more about this disaster....

So what does a Japanese kid do living in the country of his stepfather, Germany well a good Asian boy would learn to play an instrument, he chose piano, but then as hormones took hold in an adolescent boy Hip Hop made much more sense, but then came the sensory overload of houseparties, ultimately this path let to chill out, a worthy case ....N'Joy

From classical piano to Hip Hop and House music --Tomio Tremmel's work as an artist is as versatile as his musical influences. At the age of 14, this native of Heidelberg with Japanese origens first started experimenting with his own musical equipment. After a couple of years in the heidelberg Hip Hop scene, he discovered his passion for Techno and Downbeat music at house parties and the Frankfurt club "Omen". Artists such as Yello, Pink Floyd, NWA, Keith Elam, Alice In Chains, The Orb, Future Sound Of London and Orbital were some of his main musical influences.

In 1998, Tomio Tremmel released his first album “Sushidelic” under the name of The Sushi Club on the Frankfurt record label Electrolux. His second record “Neo Sashimi” came out in 2001, showing significantly stronger electronic influences. The more melodic work “Sakura”, partly produced in collaboration with Japanese producer Toby Izui and singer Kaori Kaneko, completed the Sushi Club trilogy in 2003. Besides musical and visual contributions to German TV shows such as Spacenight and Flowmotion, consisting solely of ambient and lounge music, he also produced the TV show Man vs. Machine with artist Naoki Kenji. The show was the first on German TV to deal with more club-oriented, up-tempo music and video art.

Inspired by a trip to Japan, Tomio Tremmel used video material from his travels to produce a DVD with an impressive Dolby Surround mix. For several years, the music video featured in the TV show Flowmotion. He spent the following years focussing on his company UPMC and his own record label 4MPO. Always searching for new challenges, he extended his skills in music- and video-production to 3D-animations and screen-design. In addition to further productions for his successful TV shows, he supported other musical acts like Schiller, Xavier Naidoo, Söhne Mannheims, Fett MTV and Sono with his expertise in graphics. With his business partner Naoki Kenji, he established the music-library Impax-Music, which exclusively archives background music for German and international TV shows.

At the beginning of 2010, Tomio Tremmel decided to shift focus back to his personally most important project and returned to the studio at Unit Production, where he spent one year working on a new album. The outcome of this creative isolation and a return to his musical roots is the latest Sushi Club production “Lunarium”. The style of this double CD is difficult to define: Deep House influences mix with electro- and trance beats, Spacenight sounds with acoustic instruments, and sample-bites from Japanese movies with digital effects – all morphing into a fascinating tapestry of sound. The end result is a multiple experience of creativity that rejects any attempt to apply conventional labels. With “Lunarium”, Tomio Tremmel has again demonstrated his gift for compositional complexity while staying true to his particular aspiration for the sheer quality of the music.

Tomio Tremmel's sympathetic plates premiere Sushidelic is stylistically speaking - listening/electronic - style triangle ambient/easy and takes the listener on a journey into cosmic distances. When you enter the sound worlds of the newcomers, you feel like an astronaut in weightless space. Because here a featherweight space scenario is created from strategically placed floating sounds, occasionally sparkling drip Michael, subtle grooves of the Beatbox and huge Hall rooms. Tan creates a mood of tranquility that invites you to dream and contemplate with economical means of sound and compositional methods. This music, you want to indulge his thoughts after a few bars, and limitless fantasizing. And then after the beat again on the Earth arrives and has solid ground under your feet, you are wonderfully refreshed and rested.

After the release of the incredible debut album Sushidelic, Japanese-German outfit The Sushi Club keeps things flowing with the longplayer Neo Sashimi delivered on Elektrolux. By delivering an organic blend of styles reaching from Ambient and Downbeat to Electronic Listening and far east vibes, producer Tomio Tremmel not only manages to meet high expectations - but takes his extraordinary music another step forward. Actually you can touch this album not in words, you must have heard it simply. onderful pads coupled with "uplifting" beats, all seasoned with a deliberately inserted effects make this CD a very special masterpiece! An album that tells a story, with each listen that more and more intrigued. And when it's over, I don't know if I'm sad, wistful or overjoyed. The atmosphere that simply everything is true genius of each individual track and how they fit into the overall picture - down to the smallest detail. Predecessors have also their climaxes with goose bumps warranty, no question, but they are not "without exception from the front to back" as is Sakura.
