RhoDeo 1141 Goldy Rhox 41

Hello, today the 41st post of GoldyRhox, classic pop rock, in the darklight a UK group that were likely the most highly regarded of the music scene at the time, expectations for todays mystery album were sky high at the time and even though they got some platinum less and they had changed their musical ways rather dramatically, by now the album is considered one of the best of this last decade, unprecedented indeed, producing back to back albums of the decade (90's & 00's)

This later remaster came with a bonus live album, to oblige i added an ogg 9 version of it.

Most of the albums i 'll post made many millions for the music industry and a lot of what i intend to post still gets repackaged and remastered decades later, squeezing the last drop of profit out of bands that for the most part have ceased to exist long ago, although sometimes they get lured out of the mothballs to do a big bucks gig or tour. Now i'm not as naive to post this kinda music for all to see and have deleted, these will be a black box posts, i'm sorry for those on limited bandwidth but for most of you a gamble will get you a quality rip don't like it, deleting is just 2 clicks...That said i will try to accomodate somewhat and produce some cryptic info on the artist and or album.

Todays mystery album was released 11 years and 11 days ago, it was the follow up to the highly successful breakthru album, this album would score some platinum around the world aswell, even as at the time reviews were somewhat subdued as the band broke somewhat with the previous sound, specially the falsetto singing was left behind (thankfully, personally that had kept me from really appreciating them) and electronics were brought to the fore. The album has been considered one of the most challenging pop records to have commercial success, meanwhile it's been named as the best album of the naughties by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and The Times.. The album won a Grammy for Best Alternative Album that year as well. Considering that in line with their singers new musical direction, the band members began to experiment with different instruments, and to learn "how to be a participant in a song without playing a note".The rest of the band gradually grew to share his passion for synthesized sounds

The band and their fans had a large Internet presence by the late 1990s. As a result, Parlophone (UK) and Capitol Records (US) marketed the album in an unconventional way, promoting it partly through the Internet. A month before its release, the finished album appeared on Napster. In response, "it encourages enthusiasm for music in a way that the music industry has long forgotten to do."Estimates suggested Kid A was downloaded without payment millions of times before its worldwide release. Nevertheless when it was released it entered at No 1 in the UK, US, Canada, France, Ireland and New Sealand.
