"Just A Goddamn Piece of Paper"

Iraqi Freedom
We now know that fraud on the part of the Bush administration launched the ill-fated Iraqi war. The war's financial and human cost of the war to date is $337 billion, with steep future costs for veterans' care and replacement of military equipment. Approximately 3,000 US troops have been killed, and Department of Veterans Affairs documents show that 100,000 veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan have been granted disability compensation. Estimates of Iraqi civilian "collateral damage" range from 30,000 to 655,000 deaths. America's reputation has been shattered, and the prospects for terrorist "blow-back" are higher. Meanwhile the US is transforming into a fascist state , the constitution ? Just a goddamn piece of paper (bush quote).

10-10 Falcon Base destruction, unofficially 300+ dead, officially...it didnt happen.. but here's the video shot by soldiers from about a mile (safe)distance 9 minutes Falcon base blow out

Nov 7th Diebold Day
So now there's another round of voting coming up, after the 2000 and 2004 presidential vote fraud, the congress gets a full taste of what those Diebold machines can do. 80% of americans will use these pieces of technology- fully enabled fraud voting systems- which not a single independent body — nobody, none, zero…no computer scientist, security expert or federal, state or local election official or organization — is allowed to test Diebolds voting systems in full. The same is true for the systems of every other voting machine company in America.

The only federal testing of these systems is done by the so-called "Independent Testing Authority" (ITA), a consortium of three private corporations chosen and paid for by the voting machine companies themselves. The ITAs test only what their client Voting Machine Companies tell them to test. They do so in secret and without releasing the results of their limited testing publicly. Democracy at work , right - However, this technology should be a seller to any country run by despots .

So what will happen, the media will no doubt follow some loudmouths screaming fraud, specially in the republican camp they seem to think yelling fraud will distract from their devious actions, the democrats seem to be a bunch of stranded whales having lost all sense of direction. America is in dire need of more political parties, a reform of a system that benefits those that whore for money the best, that's very different from serving the public interest. But who's going to tell them, do they even understand anything else then selfishness ?

But first...chaos, the collapse of the economy, the gigantic dollarfraud used to pump up wallstreet, misery for millions , a wall to keep mexicans out , more to keep americans in i'd say, the future looks bleak for the USA.

^^^
Politics, i recently read at a musicblog, that's a nono, now i find that shocking , it makes you wonder how shallow current musiclovers must be and they certainly don't know much about music, because it has always played a role in resisting the powers that be in their drive for greater control or at least the status quo. Rebels from Mozart to Johnny Rotten, from Elvis to...... yes some silence here as i am thinking who in 2006 might fit that bill. I know there are plenty but a big name ? It looks like the music marketing industry has a firm grip on what artists get airplay, what messages are conveyed, sure lowlife attitudes are promoted in the rap business, but artists with a message ...? They seem to be cornered and labelled 'intellectual' stuff. Collectivism seems only applicable in the rave/trance scene, but infested with drugs as that is, it shows the negative/escapist side of collectivism, not the mutual responsibility we have for life on this planet. So where are the voices that lead us to this better world we supposedly would like to live in.

^^^

I've chosen 4 rather different albums for download but still politicized in conveying a message, it's as allways up to the reciever whether he or she is willing to transcode it into something that suits his/her worldview. Its in that light that i added the covers album because it to me shows what extraordinary results can come from our human capacity to reshape.

Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, followed his acclaimed 2001 movie, Kubrick '71 vision of the near future, based on Anthony Burgess's famous novel is a dark, satirical social commentary, a masterpiece where doped milk, gang violence and rape aswell as cynical and glib politics reigned ...

Malcolm McDowell delivers a clever, tongue-in-cheek performance as Alex, the leader of a quartet of droogs, a vicious group of young hoodlums who spend their nights stealing cars, fighting rival gangs, breaking into people's homes, and raping women. A Clockwork Orange works on many levels--visual, aural (as established by the download) social, political, and sexual--it is one of the few films that hold up under repeated viewings. Kubrick stylizes the film by utilizing classical music (and Wendy Carlos's electronic classical work) to underscore the violent scenes, which even today are disturbing in their display of sheer nihilism. Ironically, many fans of the film have missed that point, sadly being entertained by its brutality rather than being repulsed by it

A ClockWorkOrange - Soundtrack - This download is basicly a radioplay and testament to the quality of Kubricks movie. For those like me who have seen the movie(several times) the images pop up automatically but i dare say for those that haven't, it still is an entertaining 82 minutes.

Kinesis - Handshakes for Bullets

NME described this band as `the perfect rock band' and on listening to this debut album you can hear why.An out of control roller coaster ride of original tracks that have the feel of established rock giants like The Strokes, Muse and Wheatus. Michael Bromley growls darkly political biting lyrics over the original and yet memory evoking guitar riffs of Conor McGloin, the result being an urgent storm that presses onwards.Their second album "You Are Being Lied To" was released in June 2005 on the indie label, 'Captains Of Industry'. The album was recorded and produced by the band themselves on an extremely small budget, the band decided to announce that they were splitting up on the day that the album was released, you can download a 64k version at their Captains of industry label here

This is suicide's fifth studio album after ten years. And like many artists the duo couldn't help but be influenced by September 11th. Tracks include 'Televised Executions', 'Swearin' Too The Flag' & 'Child, It's A New World.' 2002.
A comment; "If the streets of the world had a soundtrack, this would be it. The music and vocals are very hypnotic. I keep envisioning blood flowing through the veins of civilization as I listen to this. The words are like cells full of truth. David Bowie - All Saints
This album demonstrates David Bowie's pioneering use of synthesizers and ambient soundscapes. Most of these compositions were made in collaboration with Brian Eno and display a unique combination of lush beauty, harsh experimentation and cinematic intensity. These compositions are highly visual and adventurous, the closing piece ("Some Are" from Philip Glass's "Low Symphony") is particularly cinematic. To sum up, "All Saints" is a must have for David Bowie fans and for fans of instrumental/ambient music.

War of the Worlds

A few weeks ago i mentioned HD problems, well this week my maxtor crapped out completely, leaving me with a 19 days back up gap, gone were my preparations for several blog updates i use to work on in advance, sure it could have been worse. Hopefully the Seagate HD will live up to its reputation and save me from headaches like that.

This next item as you can see comes just in time to commemorate its 68th birthday, and don't think it couldn't happen again.

This article appeared in the New York Times on Oct. 31, 1938.

A wave of mass hysteria seized thousands of radio listeners between 8:15 and 9:30 o'clock last night when a broadcast of a dramatization of H. G. Wells's fantasy, "The War of the Worlds," led thousands to believe that an interplanetary conflict had started with invading Martians spreading wide death and destruction in New Jersey and New York.

The broadcast, which disrupted households, interrupted religious services, created traffic jams and clogged communications systems, was made by Orson Welles, who as the radio character, "The Shadow," used to give "the creeps" to countless child listeners. This time at least a score of adults required medical treatment for shock and hysteria.

In Newark, in a single block at Heddon Terrace and Hawthorne Avenue, more than twenty families rushed out of their houses with wet handkerchiefs and towels over their faces to flee from what they believed was to be a gas raid. Some began moving household furniture.

Throughout New York families left their homes, some to flee to near-by parks. Thousands of persons called the police, newspapers and radio stations here and in other cities of the United States and Canada seeking advice on protective measures against the raids

Shortly after 8 o'clock on Sunday evening, October 30, 1938, many Americans became anxious or panic-stricken after listening to a realistic live one-hour radio play depicting a fictitious Martian landing at the Wilmuth farm in the tiny hamlet of Grovers Mill, New Jersey. Those living in the immediate vicinity of the bogus invasion appeared to have been most frightened, although the broadcast could be heard in all regions of the continental United States and no one particular location was immune. The play included references to real places, buildings, highways, and streets. The broadcast also contained prestigious speakers, convincing sound effects, and realistic special bulletins. The drama was produced by a 23-year-old theatrical prodigy named George Orson Welles accompanied by a small group of actors and musicians in a New York City studio of the Columbia Broadcasting System's Mercury Theater. The actual broadcast script was written by Howard Koch, who loosely based it on the 1898 book The War of the Worlds by acclaimed science fiction writer Herbert George (H.G.) Wells (1866-1946). It remains arguably the most widely known delusion in United States, perhaps world history, and many radio stations around the world continue to broadcast the original play each Halloween eve.

Enjoy the ultimate frightnight, original broadcast 30-10-1938, why not replay at home..the script is included.

In 1978 Jeff Wayne decided to put H.G.Wells story to music, with hindsight, it seems almost incredible, a young musician (who at the time primarily wrote music for commercials) fell in love with H.G. Wells' much-loved book.
Nearly three decades after it's initial release, the album still sounds just as fresh & exciting now as it did back then. Besides the legendary, commanding voice of Richard Burton as the album's narrator, Jeff Wayne's stunning music rocks, rouses, has incredible beauty and is effectively eerie. Great singers like Justin Hayward, David Essex, Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott & Julie Covington backed by incredible musicians like Jo Partridge, Herbie Flowers, Chris Spedding, and Jeff Wayne himself.

Opening with Sir Richard Burton's chilling words to this H. G. Wells classic, the stage is set for the impending doom and terror of the next 90 minutes

Loreena McKennitt, is undoubtedly the most well known of the female artists i present today, born in heartland Canada with irish/scottish heritage, Loreena adopted the Celtic harp as her main instrument and Ireland as her spiritual home. She's a musician looking for connections between music, culture and the spirit, her journeys have taken her from Canada to Ireland, Morocco to Siberia. Her music is rooted in Celtic traditions but much of her best work incorporates elements from Medieval England, Spain and North Africa.

Loreena McKennitt started out as a street musician, released albums on her own Quinlan Road label and then became world renowned after the release of "The Visit" . On offer here ,The book of secrets was released 9 years ago highly acclaimed and commercially succesfull, tragedy struck a year later when her fiancee , his brother and a friend died in a boating accident. Mari Boine

Sápmi, which reaches down the north-west coast of Norway, across the top of Sweden and, its southern edge veering north of the Arctic Circle, stretches eastward into northern Finland and the Kola peninsula of north-west Russia, is the homeground of the Sámi race. Estimates vary, but there are much less than 100,000 people - perhaps 75,000 or fewer - who might reasonably be described in terms of heredity, lifestyle or language as Sámi. They have never been a nation, and speak several mutually non-comprehensible languages of the Finno-Ugrian linguistic group, the most prevalent of them being North Sámi, the one spoken by Mari Boine.

Mari Boine's sound is powerful expressive organic-sounding world music, musically both primal and sophisticated at the same time. One buzz-word when Sámi music is mentioned is shamanism; the word originates with the Tungus people of Siberia, and what is generally accepted as shamanism is found in many parts of the world, but it does seem to be a word that observers utter whenever a Sámi bangs a drum. It follows that Mari's music is best experienced live, where she can express her presence in the music best.

Gjallarhorn

In Norse mythology, the Giallarhorn or Gjallarhorn ("ringing horn") is the horn with which the gatekeeper god, Heimdallr, announces Ragnarök. In 1997 Gjallarhorns first cd Ranarop was released, remastered in 2002. The group was selected "Folk music group of the year 1997" and the CD was "Folk music CD of the year 1997" in Finland.

The songs deal with mystical events, witches and gods and the woes of the sea, old minuets, ballads and waltzes of Sweden and Swedish speaking Finland are given new life in the hands of this band. Instead of synthesizers, they rely heavily on the droning rasp of the didgeridoo, which lends both a modern feel and an ancient tone to most of the songs. Jenny Wilhelms voice is splendid, beautiful, but with a slightly sharp befitting edge..

Wednesdays, again

As promised last time,

Pi, the movie

How to describe "Pi"? It is a stunning film, I could hardly think of any other film in recent memory that expands and challenges the intellect on serious theological issues, but I realize it's not for everybody.

The Greek letter "Pi" equals the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. But even for the mathematically deficient, Pi is less about mathematics than it is a study in obsession, a visual representation of madness. Spiritually, it affirms the truth that God is greater than we are.

Its protagonist, Maximillian Cohen, believes that mathematics is the true language of nature, and that every action in the world, no matter how random, is intricately ordered and patterned. Given this thesis, why not use this knowledge to try to predict the stock market? This draws the attention of some shady investment banker types.

But the film goes beyond that initial premise, and takes it to an unexpected plane: faith. Although Max is an agnostic Jew, his faith more accurately reflects that of an "atheistic Calvinist" . Even so, he draws the attention of Lenny Meyer, a Jew from the Kaballah sect, who explains that the Hebraic language is numeric and replete with symbolism, perhaps with the key to the meaning of life. Lenny tells Max that the numeric symbol for man is "3", and the numeric symbol for woman is "41". The symbol for child, interestingly, is their sum: "44". He then goes to explain the symbol for Eden, and the tree of life, which coincidentally, are the same two numbers for an important mathematical ratio, that "swirls" into eternity.

The story appears to be dry. It's anything but. First timer Darren Aranofsky gets a lot of mileage out of his limitations (the budget was only $60,000). It is filmed in a strong black and white that grabs you. The cinematography is stunning, the editing is superior, and there are fantastic close up images that we take for granted: an ant on a microchip, a dismembered brain, a trembling thumb. He deservedly won the director's prize at Sundance in 1998.  This soundtrack was excellently compiled by Clint Mansell

Robert Anton Wilson (RAW - 1932-) One of the most profound and important scientific philosophers of this century, Wilson has written many important works of fiction and non-fiction. His vast intelligence and sharp wit are sufficient to shock and enlighten the most heavily imprinted domesticated primate nervous system. His best-known work, The Illuminatus! Trilogy (1975), co-authored with Robert Shea and advertised as "a fairy tale for paranoids," humorously examined American paranoia about conspiracies. The books mixed true information with imaginative fiction to engage the reader in what Wilson called "Operation Mindfuck"; the trilogy also outlined a set of libertarian and anarchist axioms known as Celine's Laws*, concepts Wilson has continued to expand upon the themes of the Illuminatus! books throughout his writing career..

Wilson also supports many of the utopian theories of Buckminster Fuller, as well as those of media theorist Marshall McLuhan and Neuro Linguistic Programming co-founder Richard Bandler, with whom he has taught workshops. RAW recommends beginners start with NLP, Zen Buddhism, basic meditation, etc., before progressing to more potentially disturbing occult activities.

Sadly, RAW, the wizard-author-intelligence increase agent is in trouble with his life, home and his finances. Robert is dying at his home from post polio syndrome. He cannot walk, has a hard time talking and swallowing, is extremely frail and needs full time care that is being provided by several friends-fans-volunteers and family. The appeal to help financially for the next few months to let him die at his home in peace has been very successfull, a testament to the esteem he's held by his readership.

*Celine's Laws
1st - National Security is the chief cause of national insecurity.

These three great albums have yet to see an official release on cd, i hope you'll agree that's a mistake. Modern Eon and Scars both released one of the best albums of 1981, without a second release they've been too easily forgotten. WillPower is a different case , there's simply not enough money in it for the main man Tony Robinson. So here's your chance to decide for yourself.

Will Powers - Dancing For Mental Health

This album can change your life. If you want to be happy you can start now, says Tony Robinson (motivation guru), at that time ' 83 not that well known, later a powerhouse who sold many people into success, he blockes this entertaining neuro linguistic programming alternative being released on cd (cdbaby sells a vinylrip apparently).
So whats the story, by listening again and again to Will Powers, by sharing it with others, you are constantly reminding yourself that anything is possible and that it is YOU who can make your life a positive adventure. Every one of your 'problems' is,in fact, your OPPORTUNITY. Will Powers will give you techniques that when practiced with humor will result in a fuller, richer, experience of what it really means to be alive.
There is no other album like this one. With the support of Sting, Steve Winwood, Nile Rogers, Todd Rundgren, Carly Simon, Sly & Robbie to name a few, Will Powers brings you words and music that will not only make you smile, but make you realize what your smile can do for you. If you do like it, tell others....where there's Will, there's a way!

SCARS - AUTHOR ! AUTHOR !

Scars were cocky, provocative and brash, and how they never became pop stars remains a mystery , attention to detail was central to their art, and these kids were perfect material for the State Arts design group to produce the best range of pop T-shirts ever. The people involved with State Arts were also involved in setting up the style-mag i-D, and Scars contributed a song for a free flexi with an early edition. The song, “Your Attention Please”, seems curiously apt again, being a setting of a 60s Peter Porter poem about impending nuclear terror. .

Scars’ relationship with Pre resulted in a few singles and one LP. It also saw the teenage upstarts adopt a startling new image with a look inspired by Viviene Westwood’s World’s End pirate collection. This made Scars seem like comrades of Bow Wow Wow and Adam and the Ants, unfortunately-with hindsight.

MODERN EON - FICTION TALES

Fiction Tales is one of the greatest albums ever made in my opinion. It is a mesmerising, etheric and sometimes disturbing record by Liverpool group Modern Eon. Their elemental hypno-rock hints and murmurs seductively, implies and evades with a coiling, smoky vagueness. Indeed, the work is 'cerebral'.
Surprisingly very little has been written about Modern Eon and Fiction Tales, it has however a dedicated albumsite, not many have ever heard of this record but those that did absolutely love it. So here's your chance.

In The Beginning

Sundaze Mass

" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"

An intriguiging start to the genesis account in the bible, these days we know that much of all this was copied from earlier sources, the same goes for the O.T. basis, Mozes' Torah. In fact we can find the source some 1500 years deeper in time in Sumer, which spawned the babylonian civilisations and spread its knowledge/culture from egypt to persia and beyond. Latecomers as the greeks acknowledged their sources, but the west seems largely to have turned a blind eye to it, not in the least part due to the inconvenient pre biblical truths.
Herecy was and is a label that most scolars rather evade, though the consequences aren't as severe these days, nothing much has changed, scientists remain tied to the savety of groupconsensus, even if their research shows them otherwise.

Back to 'The Word', a spanish kabbalist, Joseph Gikatila, created a beautiful analogy of the Torah as the Name of God. The Torah was like a fabric. Through warp and weft the fabric was created and woven directly from the Name of God (Scholem, On Kabbalah 42-3). Gikatila also explained the letters of the Torah as the mystical body of God while God Itself was the soul of those letters.
Spanish Kabbalists had a well developed conception of who they believed God was. God was Eyn Sof, the infinite, impersonal being with whom they could have no relationship although it was possible to find a route to a relationship with Eyn Sof. The mystic only needed to study the Torah, the one great Name of God, to find the highest form of knowledge and step up to a relationship with God. The earliest name for Hebrew's holiest letters is "tetragrammatron". (Yod-He-Vau-He). The literal meaning of this name for Hebrew's holiest letters is that this is "A GRAMMAR OF TETRAHEDRONS"

The old hebrew alphabet letters from mozes time (1100 BCE) were derived from egyptian hieroglyphs > proto-canaaite > phoenician > ancient hebrew, the shape of the letters however is what holds the key here. In 1986 a jewish kabbalist , Stan Tenen, wrote a paper "The Light in the Meeting Tent " on how symmetry and asymmetry, tetrahedron and vortex, light and vessel, produce the letters of a particular Hebrew and a particular Arabic alphabet.
Here's a 31 min video where explains his work. First Light

Clever stuff, alas this aint even half of it, Daniel Winter, a man as chaotic as he is brilliant, published a book march 87 "One Crystal's Dance". On a side note, he has been the inspiration for the movie Pi (1998), it's website a must SEE , i will post the soundtrack coming wednesday.

Daniel Winter's work focuses on the importance of the dodecahedron, the twelve pentagonal faced Platonic solid, and how it creates, with its dual the icosahedron, a nest of Golden Mean ratios. Daniel then applied this concept to emotions and to the structure of DNA itself. One of Daniels’s central ideas was that the universe could be described as a geometry of pressure. He's concerned with what is the true LANGUAGE OF LIGHT, in so far as alphabetizing what symmetry can burn spin as memory/inertia into any membrane or surface.
This is very close to the idea of a universe created by the symmetry sets of a sacred language, such as Hebrew. Daniel also postulated that a nest of Golden Mean ratios, such as a strand of DNA, was the best way to conserve information, or shape, through time. Daniel had developed a theoretical structure, a universal hypothesis, that seemed tailor made to describe the unique value of Tenen’s discovery.

But then mr Tenen decided that gods language style needed to be copywrited with him as the sole benificiary naturally. He started to threathen and sued mr Winter who's route was sacred-geomatrical and based on the golden mean spiral. An insight mr. Tenen still has to come to terms with, were it not that an american judge, who decided that it was better to have jewish friends then some nurdy incomprehensible 'freak', ruled that mr Winters work was unlawful and anyone spreading it in contempt of court. His books were to be burned.

Daniel Winter has been on the run ever since, now when i look at the meru foundations website and Daniels work its as if an 7 year old has succesfully sued Picasso for infringing on his work, and has made selling work impossible for poor Pablo. Daniel Winter should get a nobelprize, if he ever finds a decent editor of his work, here's the main web site concerning his work chaotic as the man himself, anyway you can order his books and dvd's there aswell as his current baby the heart tuner, get some pdf's on his current work here

There's much more, but hold on;

Let's not forget that the genesis account aint the only one telling us what happened, in fact a much more consistent one was brought to us by the gnostics, who were demonised for doing so by the Catholic Church Demons, who's reign of terror is finally fizzling out.

"It seems that once there was only the Fore-Creation, invisible, without form or gender, all-pervasive, filling the depths and heights of what was and which, desiring to manifest an inward potential gave birth to many holy dyads...that is, pairs, the first of which were the Abyss and Fore-thought. Then a desire arose in Fore-thought and it meditated on Silence who conceived and gave birth to twins: the first visible female form called Truth and the first visible male form called Mind, in turn they together gave birth to Life and Word...Life was the form-mother of the Pleroma and Word was the form-father of those manifest within the Pleroma. The Pleroma is the fullness of the spiritual world, uninfluenced by matter, energy or light.

In line with todays concept, some religiously toned works from my vaults.

This is one of the two soundtracks for the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ". The other one, "Passion", deals more with Peter Gabriel's performances. This one deals with the more traditional Middle Eastern music used and sampled for the film. A great introduction to Jesus's musical roots (Middle Eastern, Indian, African, Persian, Turkish, etc) . A diverse range of styles and cultures, wonderful songs performed by excellent traditional artists.

This breathtaking centerpiece of Fanshawe's repetoire has gained favour with listeners in the years since it's release in 1973. The blending of a catholic mass with the cultures and native african recordings is certainly a leftfield concept. Basically, Fanshawe has taken the traditional movements of the ordinary mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei) and added movements, changed the order, and added all the African sounds that he recorded on his ethnomusical journey.

Unlike Christian music in America, you won't find no halleluiahs, no gospel raves, no snake charmers and thank you Jezez, here. No. These are every day human beings, seeking help and guidance from God. Singing together sincere and heartfelt. It is quiet, joyful, solemn, traditional music. One of the finest genuine evocations of the human soul you will ever hear. This is the best that Christian music can be.

Talking Heads

This last week my harddisk send out all the wrong signals, shouldnt be screwing with partitions and think the system adepts any deeper, oh no. Anyway i got the supposedly best recovery program running at this moment , Spinrite 6.0, but things are moving at a very slow pace indeed.

Well it looks as if it's all about music and literature tonight, lets start with the latter.
William Burroughs, a harvard man no less, lived his live in the counter culture, a dirty liberal by today's neo-conmens standards. A strange live it has been, shooting his 2nd wife Joan Vollmer in a wilhelm tell game, shocked him on the path of writing, B was allready on morfine and marihuana in those days ('51). After a trip to south america in search of yage which supposedly would help him kick the habit he returned to write his first novel 'Junkie" . He wrote it under the pen name William Lee as you can see here,a 35 c novel.
One of Burroughs distinguishing feats is his unique voice, something that certainly got picked up by several music artists who later in his life sought to work with him. If you haven't heard his voice yet and for those that can dig some more, a real treat, the master himself reading his first novel , it takes him about 3 hours.

Big Night Music

No big words today, but some big night music, Shriekback. I've been a fan right from their first release the mini album Tench, some years later they gained some commercial success after their 'spooky' music was used in the movie Manhunter, aswell as in the Miami Vice tv series.
Their previous work was bound by other small companies eager to cash in, discord followed, and thus their discography became confusing, much of their inspired early work hasn't been reissued on cd, let alone remastered, this when their unique sound would certainly suit it.

Here you can find everything you always wanted to know about Shriekback Cleartrails Fansite

Guess what, there's been a new album out for allmost a year now...P.R.oblems , getting the word out aint easy, signing release deals ditto. There's it is, and here you could get it @Amazon Or find your way to Shriekback's website There's music from their latest album to be heard.

Now then, the reason for this blog is the mix cd i made 8 years ago, not content with what i had digitally....and the fact that i always felt that Shriekback should have released an ambient compilation, stripped of rock and dance, a late night atmospheric album, and so i compiled one. Some tracks are ripped from cd, but most are from vinyl. Madly has been in my overall most played top 10 for years, considering my extensive collection, no mean feat, it must be my late night lifestyle. Time to take a share ..Shriekback..Madly  (451mb)
