Hello, today the 240th post of GoldyRhox, classic pop rock, in the darklight is a French composer, performer, and music producer. He is a pioneer in the electronic, ambient, and new-age genres, and known as an organiser of outdoor spectacles of his music featuring lights, laser displays, and fireworks.
Several of his albums have been released to coincide with large-scale outdoor events, and he is now perhaps as well known as a performer as well as a musician. As of 2004 he had sold an estimated 80 million albums. He was the first Western musician officially invited to perform in the People's Republic of China, and holds the world record for the largest-ever audience at an outdoor event,the biggest concert ever with 3.5 million watching at Moscow's 850th anniversary.

Most of the albums i 'll post made many millions for the music industry and a lot of what i intend to post still gets repackaged and remastered decades later, squeezing the last drop of profit out of bands that for the most part have ceased to exist long ago, although sometimes they get lured out of the mothballs to do a big bucks gig or tour. Now i'm not as naive to post this kinda music for all to see and have deleted, these will be a black box posts, i'm sorry for those on limited bandwidth but for most of you a gamble will get you a quality rip don't like it, deleting is just 2 clicks...That said i will try to accommodate somewhat and produce some cryptic info on the artist and or album.
Today's mystery album an album of instrumental electronic music composed, produced, and performed by today's mystery French composer. It was first released in France in December 1976, on Disques Dreyfus with license to Polydor. The album's international release was in summer 1977. Our man recorded the album in his home using a variety of analog synthesizers and other electronic instruments and effects. It became a bestseller and was his first album to achieve mainstream success, selling 15 million copies. It was also highly influential in the development of electronic music and has been described as the album that "led the synthesizer revolution of the Seventies" His inspiration for today's mystery album came from a painting by the artist Michel Granger (given to him by his future wife Charlotte Rampling), which showed the Earth peeling to reveal a skull. Our man obtained the artist's permission to use the image for this album.
As the follow up album to today's first mystery album, it offers the same mesmerizing affect, with rapid spinning sequencer washes and bubbling synthesizer portions all lilting back and forth to stardust scatterings of electronic pastiches. Using more than 13 different types of synthesizers, he combines whirling soundscapes of multi-textured effects, passages, and sometimes suites to culminate interesting electronic atmospheres... So much electronic color is added to every track that it is impossible to concentrate on any particular segment, resulting in waves of synth drowning the ears at high tide. The release was followed by a concert on the Place de la Concorde, Paris on 14 July 1979. The concert attracted 1 million people, becoming his first entry in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest crowd for an outdoor concert.
