Hello, now it's hard to get away from the Halloween nonsense these days, i really dislike the american horror culture that thru its well financed terror sellers, gets exported to the rest of the world. It should come as no surprise that these are the forces of evil at work. What was once a time to contact and show respect for the dead, has once again getting the N.W.O. treatment (war=peace). But that's not all, being exposed to terror images cause people to subconsciously become more rightwing (true that !), hardly surprising then that US elections are held a few days after Halloween, yes the USA would change if from now on elections were held in the spring ! USA is a very sick country that has been raped by psycho/sociopaths for many decades (some would say centuries) it won't cure if the rest of the world let's them get away with creating ever more debt without ever repaying, but who's prepared to stand up against the american war machine.
Meanwhile in Mexico city the F1 boys are racing in thin air(=faster cars) and less oxigen for the drivers, could get messy at the end certainly on a wet track. Rosberg on pole but if Hamilton will once again try to bluf him again like last time i expect both to go off, that won't happen because Haliton knows this, he'll probably let Vettel thru to pester Rosberg.
Today we say goodbye to Kitaro, despite this I still have plenty on ice' so who knows someday i will get back to him. This sundaze a sound art project that has released numerous records and CDs in music styles ranging from electro-acoustic, musique concrète, hybridised beats, sound collage, post-industrial music, ambient and noise music. The sound art has been part of an ongoing multimedia campaign of guerrilla sign ontology utilising video art, film, hypertext and other documents. . .... N'joy

The Nocturnal Emissions project, masterminded by Nigel Ayers, has been on the cutting edge of new music since the 1970s.
Nigel Ayers has been described as a Guerrilla Sign Ontologist, cutting-up and pasting the contents of the human psyche. With a background in avant-garde art, his work has grown from audio visual installations through underground video works which changed the shape of British television.
The project was initiated in Derbyshire in the late 1970s by Nigel Ayers (b. 1957), a former art student who, in the period, lived in London. Together with collaborators Danny Ayers (b. 1964) and Caroline K (1957–2008). From early in their work, the group concentrated on the axiom of music being a form of social control, and highlighted concepts such as information overload, cult conditioning, brainwashing and subliminal advertising, in a critique of information society. Their music drew heavily on worldwide folk traditions as well as that of the European avant-garde. One of their earliest performances was in a railway arch in Atlantic Road, Brixton, while the 1981 Brixton riots raged outside.
In the early eighties Nocturnal Emissions hit London with a barrage of seminal funk; pioneering the use of sound samplers, multi-cultural collage and electronic noise. They became a shape shifting chameleon lightening the darkness of post-industrial music, combining extremist performance art and video displays with apocalyptic beat music. Since 1984 Nocturnal Emissions has continued mainly as Nigel Ayers' solo project. Line-up has varied from one to a dozen musicians. Nocturnal Emissions temporary members have included net artist Stanza, Ben Ponton of Zoviet France and life coach Fiona Harrold.
Nocturnal Emissions ran their own record label, Sterile Records and later worked closely with the editors of the art music label Touch, later with both the Netherlands- based Staalplaat and USA- based Soleilmoon recording labels. All three labels came to the fore as part of 1980s cassette culture.
In 1990–92 Nocturnal Emissions collaborated on Butoh dance performances in Europe & the USA, with the Japanese choreographer Poppo Shiraishi. Around this time Nocturnal Emissions' Situationist-influenced practice became increasingly informed by magick, stone circles, techno–shamanism, neo-paganism, animism and Fortean research. There were many collaborations on animated films by Mancunian TV director Charlotte Bill. Bill was never an official member of Nocturnal Emissions, but admits to being one of the legion of members of The Fall (band) .
However, at the height of their success, the Emissions decided to shun the crass commercialism that had developed around them, and to develop their work as a secret alchemy. Nigel Ayers has continued to work with a strong underground of cult support, avoiding music industry fashions, and following his own creative path he concentrated on creating a strong sense of a wilderness identity through sound.
Between 1980 and 2006, Nigel Ayers has worked as a performing sound artist with performances in USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark.
Nocturnal Emissions were later to be associated with the Kernow section of the Association of Autonomous Astronauts
and to feature in a best-selling story by the novelist Stewart Home.

Nigel Ayers, the founder of this British trio, live in Newcastle, near Stonehenge, which may explain the fog-haunted, Cimmerian atmosphere of Nocturnal Emissions’ industrial new age. These are curiously restful, these long, droning instrumentals, and develop gradually, like moss growing on the dark side of a dolmen. Gravelly samples – played, according to one article, on Casio SK-5s – add what Pierre Schaeffer called "grain": a rough-edged quality that makes music sound gritty or abraded. The ghost of Kitaro is effectively banished.

The music from Nigel Ayers' Nocturnal Emissions was the most original and unusual coming out of the U.K. at the time. This eagerly awaited cd, Magnetized Light ( the image you see on the cover), contains intimate soundtracks illuminating the human soul with biological intelligence. This is new and exciting music, recorded in collaboration with Charlotte Bill, which penetrates deep into the human psyche with tremendous emotional effects. The listener will be simultaneously creeped out and awe-struck by its surreal sense of presence. Not to be missed by anyone who claims to favor the darker regions of the ambient spectrum.

Slowly pulsating drones, chirping electronics, distant radio static. Ambient or minimal? To answer the question, it might help to go back a couple of millennia to the Epicurians. Today their name mostly evokes indulgence in fleshly pleasures but that only one form of their thinking; the other sought to deny the body excess experiences. Though the difference isn’t always audible, ambient tries to envelop a listener in pleasant fluffiness while minimalism wants to remove any nonessentials to focus more intensely on the sound. Glossalalia can be an involving album, even on repeated hearings, at first, it seems just to flow with no real point, but soon the music racks into focus, much as long-distance runners claim to break through to a type of euphoria. Musical materials this austere, even delicate, can’t be handled abruptly; the long stretches of time are necessary to bring out their unique nature. Just the right number of sonic extremes and surprising twists make it most engaging, and all-told quite original. Glossalalia may not demand too much of your attention but if you listen closely, the experience should be rewarding.

Sound sculptor Nigel Ayers delivers more intriguing soundscapes, intelligently amalgamating electronic, ethnic, and experimental musics, as exemplified by the electro-ethnic industrial hybrid Boo, and the noise-ethno-techno of Load II where organic hand percussion meets a flittering sequencer, dance beats, and backwards flute. And it’s fun, too: every experiment is prefaced by an excerpt from illegally recorded phone calls – truly banal, useless conversations with annoying people.

@Rho - Thanks for these.
ReplyDeleteHi Anoumous
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Link to "Mesmeric Enabling Device".
I wonder if anyone has it in FLAC?
Kindest wishes

Zoviet France were mentioned above. Don't suppose you have anything from this enigmatic band.
